Same years of experience a new vision

After thriving in the industry for over 25 years, previously  MPsoftware faced the challenges of a demerger.

Our pals at AHuskyJob roped us in to lend our skills in crafting a new name, defining a visual identity, and whipping up marketing materials. While they took the lead in the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) software redesign.

Founder Pablo's main concern was ensuring a seamless transition for all clients. We said, let's get them all excited about the rebuild and improved version of the software they already love.

Naming

We tossed around name ideas in collaborative workshops. From simple "Maintenance Solutions" to abstract ideas like "Sinew." Trying to arrive at a name that is simple in an intelligent way. Not in stating the obvious way.

It needed to tell the story of a company built to help you manage the complexities of organizing, planning and optimizing the maintenance management of your company. Be it a car fleet, manufacturing machinery or Hospital equipment.

The game-changer was "Supervision," a direct maintenance synonym. This led to "svision," an abbreviation that, through onomatopoeia, helped unify our newly defined values: "Smart, Seamless, Supervision."

Visual Identity

Following the Naming process, it was time to translate "Smart, Seamless, Supervision" into Visual language. We started with a wordmark. The onomatopoeia of "s" words, provided a visual anchor. We emphasised it with a bold colour and a cut to make it feel like a seamless part of svision.The wordmark uses a geometric typeface for a technical touch, the same typeface is utilized for all communications.

A simple three-colour palette proves less is more, giving us a trustworthy air of simplicity. While providing a strong contrast in all combinations.

It all fits into a modular layout system, just like all maintenance needs fit into svision. We summarised all this into a concise brand guideline document to ensure consistency in all communication.

Marketing materials

With the guidelines defined. We paired up with a Mexico-based marketing agency, and shaped marketing communications – social media posts, email marketing, and printed materials – all aimed at getting our audience excited about the change happening. The main tagline summarizes it best;Same years of experience new vision!

Impact

More than a name change or a visual refresh. This project was a visual mark of a strategic shift and a renewal of svision's promise to their customers.

A demerger can be a turbulent time for a business, the fast-paced change if not handled correctly, can lead to a loss of image in the client's eyes. Happily with all the combined efforts "svision" rolled out successfully to 10,000 companies worldwide.
